Samoa is a visa-on-arrival country for holders of Ghanaian passports. Citizens of Ghana are not exempted from visa requirements when travelling to Samoa. The country adds up to the over 20 countries that Ghanaians can travel to by obtaining a visa on arrival at the border.

The difference between Visa-free entry and Visa-on-arrival is not significant and many Ghanaians consider visa-on-arrival countries as visa-free countries too. In fact, many websites have listed these countries under the list of countries Ghanaians can travel to without a visa. The only difference with a visa-on-arrival country is that a fee is paid for a visa to be stamped in the passport. Usually, these countries do not place strict visa requirements on Ghanaians, however, basic travel and immigration requirements have to be met to avoid any inconveniences.
